I am deeply saddened to hear about Jay. I always got a kick from Jay and will remember his funny ways. He was a memorable partier and a happy person, he will be missed in person but always there in memories.

Jay was a solid, dependable friend with a great sense of humor. Once you made friends with Jay, you were friends for life! He was very bright, and always knew the details of what was going on in the world. I remember being particularly impressed with his knowledge of baseball trivia! I will always treasure my friendship with Jay and memories of the Town Hall days with many friends. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Mrs. McPadden and Mickey, and those who cherish Jay as a friend. May he rest in peace.

I was shocked to see that Jay had passed. My sincere sympathy to his mom Agnes and brother "Mickey". Although it has been quite a few years since I had seen Jay, I shall always remember the times we spent together hangin' out with the rest of the "Chillum Boys" through high school at Northwestern, St. Johns, Ocean City and countless other haunts. We all had great fun and alot of laughs. I will never forget.

I worked with Jay for the last several years. He was a wonderful co-worker . He had a great work ethic and we had a lot of laughs. His family should be proud of him for many reasons but please know he was highly regarded by all of his friends in the Mailroom of the Washington Post. He will be missed.
