James Orange Obituary

ORANGE, JAMES IRVIN, SR. (Age 91)

Of 12999 Halloran Lane, Charlotte Hall, MD, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at the Civista Hospital, LaPlata, MD.

Born Friday, May 22, 1914, in Blackstone, Virginia. He was the son of the late John Albert Orange and the late Mary Eliza Clay Orange. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Louise Orange in 2004.

He was employed with Eastern Airlines retiring in 1976 after 31 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was a member of the Hughesville Baptist Church and a former member of First Baptist Church in Hagerstown, MD. He was an avid woodworker and gardener.

He is survived by three daughters, Wilma J. Kubican of Charlotte Hall, MD, Mary L. Casey of Eugene, OR and Ellen A. Orange of Midland, VA; two sons, John W. Orange of Charles County, MD and James I Orange, Jr. of Amissvile, VA; brother, Waverly Wade Orange of Richmond, VA; two sisters-in-law, June Gaylor of Hagerstown, MD and Jeanne Reeser of Hagerstown, MD, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 11 a.m. from the DOUGLAS A. FIERY FUNERAL HOME, 1331 Eastern Blvd., North Hagerstown, MD with the Rev. Thom Smith and the Rev. Mark Snyder, officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, December 3.

Interment will follow at the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.

Memorial donations may be made to Dentsville EMS Company 15, 12135 Charles Street, LaPlata, Maryland 20646.
