I was looking up old friends recently and found Jane's obituary. Reading the notes you all have left here tells me Jane remained the charming woman I knew.
The group were close because we shared interests and sense of humor.
Jane hung around with a few of my friends and myself in 1972-1974.
As so many have noted here Jane was always charming, smiling, and witty. She was something of a gift to all who knew her.
As the Irish say "May god hold her in the palm of his hand forever." I have no doubt that is where she is today. She certainly deserves it.

Jane was the Payroll Director and I was the Payroll Mgr. for MetroCall Jane was so very nice and one thing you would have found out about her is how proud she was to be a mom.
She loved her daughter very much.
May God always bring Peace to Tiana and may she always remember she had a mom who loved her very much.

Tiana,
Your mommy was so dear to me, I'm going to miss her smile, her wit and most of all the time we spent on the phone. Do you remember when she got stuck in the balls at your birthday party and had to be pulled out, that was so funny, wished I could have video taped that. Remember, we loved her but God love her best.
I love you, Grandma Liz

Tiana,
I love you so much and i hope you can look at this experience as a positive one. I know it's hard to have someone so close to you leave you. But do remember she is in a much better place. Look at it like this way you have an "ANGEL" watching over you now. Well, I send my prayers to you and the rest of the family, and call on me if you need anything.
Love always,
Your cousin Samm

Tiana and the Washington Family:
Jane was a dear friend for over 20 years. I have so many wonderful memories of adventures with Jane. We went ice skating, bowling, walking, country line dancing..oh yeah she'd try almost anything once! We could talk to each other for hours about anything, but especially our families, which were parallel to each other in so many ways! When I finally realized my dream of "retiring" and moving to Montana, Jane was the one who brought out all the years of pictures for us to enjoy remembering the wonderful times we shared. The last time I visited with Jane on a return trip to DC, she entertained me with stories of you Tiana and showed me the numerous pictures of her beautiful little girl. A special child she'd yearned for her whole life. You Tiana were truly the light of her life, the light that made her life complete. Jane has and will continue to hold a special place in my and many others hearts!
I belive the love of God and your wonderful family will get you through this trying time.

Tiana,
Your mother was not only a wonderful person but a wonderful friend. She made us laugh plenty of times your parties. She is gone but not forgotten because such a friend is only waiting for us to join her later in life. You look, laugh and have her same personality so she has blessed us with you. We wish you and your family much love through this time. Love 3 Doves

To Tiana,
I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I also wanted to share my personal thoughts with you about your mother. She was a wonderful person, thoughtful, fun, reliable, supportive, dedicated, friendly, a hard worker, always smiled and giggled! (She giggled a lot matter of fact!)
My favorite memory of your mother was when she joined the Metrocall Basketball Team. She told everyone that she never played on a basketball team before which became obvious because of her “specialized” two bounce (max) dribble. She practiced and played in a couple of games and she never scored a point. But that didn't stop her, because near the end of the season she made her first basket during regulation play! Our team was so proud & excited for her we ran onto the court to congratulate her! You would have thought we just won the final four tournament. But in all actuality we lost the game.
The point being, don’t give up and always give it your all. Be willing to try something new every now and again, and remember to smile and have fun. We all knew how proud she was of you and how much she loved you. But know that she was also loved very much by several people, and will be missed tremendously.
