JEFFREY BRODY Obituary

JEFFREY SCOTT BRODY
On January 26, 2021, of Kamas, Utah. Beloved husband of Lyse; loving father of Jake and Jordan Brody; loving stepfather of Adam (Lyka) Scalia; cherished son of Goldie and Marvin Brody; devoted brother of Robyn (Stephen, dec.) Greenhouse and Fred (Elizabeth) Brody; and beloved uncle to Ryan, Tyler, and Dylan Greenhouse and Lila and Juliette Brody.  Jeff was a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina. He obtained a JD from Concord Law School and an MA in Organizational Development from the University of Maryland. His lifelong career in and passion for Human Resources included work at Northrup Grumman, Alliant Technologies, and most recently ManTech, and an appointment as a visiting Executive Lecturer at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business. His career ultimately led him to CGI and Montreal, Canada where he met his wife, Lyse. Their adventures together fulfilled lifelong dreams and were highlighted by many travels and the company of family and friends.  Jeff was a dedicated father who was proud of his sons. He was a lover of Napa Valley cabs, the Grateful Dead, practical jokes, the art museums of Europe, and the mountains of Utah.  Donations in his memory can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Summit Land Conservancy (Park City, Utah). Details regarding a celebration of life will be forthcoming.

Jeff loved everything that life had to offer. Each and every day he lived it to its fullest. Had big aspirations and yet enjoyed the simple things in life. Love his cab, great food but most of all his family. Never met his siblings but I know how much he loved them. Same for Jake and Jordan. He had a wicked sense of humor - worked hard and played hard. My sincere condolences to his beloved family. May the many fond memories that you have of Jeff bring you peace and an occasional chuckle. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I remember when he lost a bet with me on Boston Red Sox winning the World Series back in the TRW/NG days and we went out to dinner at Ruth Chris and had such a great time, laughing and telling stories. He was always a great story teller and yes he was very proud of his boys.

I was very sad to hear about Jeff's passing. I have worked with Jeff for the past 2 years and he was wonderful to work with! He was very dedicated, hard-working, and I enjoyed his sense of humor. I know he loved his family and the wide open spaces of Utah. He will be very missed by everyone at ManTech. You have my deepest sympathy.

I knew Jeff for about 10 years. He was a friend, client, candidate and placement. Jeff was always there as a helping hand or if you just needed a nice person to talk to. Respected HR leader, he was a giving individual with his time and thoughts. He will be greatly missed. Sending prayers to his family he cherished so much and all of his friends. He will be dearly missed.

Jeff is one of the few larger than life people that you meet. He was always smiling, positive, superbly dressed, and was extremely passionate about his family. Jeff was always talking about his boys and what great young men they had become. I remember when Jeff brought them to San Diego and we had one of those epic dinners at our favorite place - Pamplemousse Grille. The dinner included great steak, cabernet, and friends - everything Jeff loved about dining.
He was so happy to find Lyse. He brought her out and we shared a few days celebrating the new year. Euni and I enjoyed our times with Jeff.
Jeff loved his work. Not only was he gifted in human resources/talent management, but he was great at strategy and leadership. We use to dream about him becoming my BD guy at the next job.
Personally, Jeff was a great mentor guiding me though the corporate maze and helping me past self-created barriers. But what I will miss most is Jeff's friendship, enjoying great food, and talking about life, career, and family sharing a great cabernet.
For me, Jeff will be remembered for his smile and selfless assistance to friends and family.
