Jeffrey David Pariser

Jeffrey David Pariser, aged 58, died Thursday, July 13, 2023 in his home in Washington, DC from complications related to Alzheimer's disease. He is remembered for his love of life, family and friends; his passion for literature, music, justice, dogs and whitefish; and his remarkable intellect, humor, optimism and kindness. He will be missed by all who knew him. Jeff was born on March 18, 1965, the son of Howard and Lynne Pariser. An avid reader and student, he graduated from the University of Virginia in 1987, and New York University School of Law in 1993. He practiced law for over 25 years, serving as a clerk for Justice Stewart Pollock of the New Jersey Supreme Court, an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, a partner at Hogan & Hartson LLP, and Chief Litigation Counsel at FINRA. Throughout his career, he was known for his belief in and commitment to the law, public service, social justice and pro bono work. He is survived by his beloved wife Antigone Potamianos, and his daughters Marina and Julia. He is predeceased by his father Howard, his mother Lynne, and his brother Michael. Services will be held on Friday, July 21, at 10 a.m at Pumphrey Funeral Home, 7557 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20814. A scholarship fund in his name will be established at New York University School of Law.
