Jeff was going in to rescue Lt. Michael P. Murphy and his team. Lt. Murphy's parents were recently honored by President Bush as he presented them with the Medal of Honor for their son. Alot of lives were lost that day but not in vain. Both teams memories will forever be in our minds and an inspiration for others to follow. Carry on bro's!

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

My sincere condolences to the family of Jeff Taylor. Jeff, you were a great guy and am honored to have known you during the dropzone days with John and Kelly and Staci down in Ft Bragg. I am proud to have friends that have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom that we have. The same freedom I fought for and sometimes I feel guilty that I'm still here. Your memory will always be on my mind. I never got to meet your family but I know they must be proud!!! Hoowah!

Petty Officer Taylor was the first Corpsman I met when I arrived as the Battalion Surgeon with 1st Battalion, 10th Marines in 1998. I got to know Jeff very well over the year we spent together deploying to Bridgeport, Ca, Norway and Ft. Bragg. Jeff was an incredible young man. It is no surprise that he touched so many hearts while alive and gave his life for such a righteous cause. My heart goes out to his wife, family, and the families of all of those killed over the past few years.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS. I HAVE JUST LEARNED OF YOUR GREAT LOSS AND WISH TO EXPRESS MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES. PLEASE KNOW THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT HERE WHO DO CARE AND YOUR HERO WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. HOLD TIGHT TO YOUR TREASURED MEMORIES THAT HIS SPECIAL SMILE MAY CONTINUE TO SHINE ON FOR YOU. I just wanted to say that my brother, Jeff Taylor, is not only a hero to this country, Jeff was my hero. There was not one pro athlete or a celebrity that inspired me as much as my brother did. I just want to thank all of his teammates for there support and for what they do. I also want to extend my gratitude and heart out to all of the families who have lost a loved one. Jeff you will never be forgotten and I love you bro.

Maureen and I wanted to extend our deepest sympathies to the Taylor family on their loss. Jeff's Team leader, Lt. McGreevy and Jeff Taylor of SEAL Team 10, among others, were killed in the helicopter crash brought down by enemy fire while trying to come to the rescue of our son, Lt. Michael P. Murphy and his small SEAL team in the mountains of Kunar province, Afghanistan. We share your grief over the loss of a loved one and are forever grateful that Mike was surrounded by such great and loyal friends who were willing to lay down their lives for each other, GOD and country. These men true blue "Navy SEALs" will never be forgotten in our hearts, minds or prayers. We salute the sacrifice of Jeffrey Taylor and his Teammates in SEAL Team 10 in their attempt to come to the aid of our Mike and his men. You are all true American heros.

As Abraham Lincoln once wrote " in the solemn pride that must be yours, to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom." These are men who will live on in the memories of those who follow in the fight for freedom and justice. Know that you are in our hearts and prayers.

I am the Mother of Danny Dietz, I too share in the hearfelt loss, my heart aches and I share in your families heartfelt loss as well. May God Bless your family and touch your heart to help with lifting the pain we share.

I want to start out by saying how sorry i am for your lost. I am Maria L. Dietz, Danny p. Dietz's wife. You might remember me from talking about my husband in the Seal memorial service. Although i did not know your husband, i have only heard good things about him. I am honored and glad that my husband had a chance to work along side Jeffrey Taylor and they both died along with all the other Seals doing what they believed in. It's hard to let go as wives and family to such outstanding , special, and incredible men like Taylor ,my husband and all others that died on that day.....they can't never be replace and we will forever have an emptiness in our hearts. I am very saddened by the death of Jeffery. He was my co-worker and good friend during his Navy stint at the Naval hospital Portsmouth, such a bright, hard working young man. Set his goals high and acheived them. I'm so proud to have known him. Peace Jeffery

WE HAVE CRIED OVER THE LOSS OF YOUR SON AND ALL OF THE OTHER BRAVE YOUNG MEN GIVING THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE FOR US TO LIVE IN FREEDOM.
