All of my sympathies and prayers to all of Joan's family. I've been in Alaska for two weeks+ and just getting this sad news. I knew Joan through the OLQP Welcome Committee and Worship Committee and feel lucky to have known this special lady for 10 or more years. God bless. Ken Naser

To Joan's family; I am so sorry for your loss of this lovely lady. Still pushing wheelchairs at 84! She will be sorely missed.
I also wanted to tell you what a beautiful service/tribute you had for her on 8/24/12.
I am a friend of Joan's from The VHC Auxiliary.

After a week I'm still in shock and can't stop thinking about her. Joan was my running mate, my friend and a woman who inspired all the other "oldies but goodies", encouraging them to keep going and never give up. I'm so sorry for all of you, and for me. I miss her so much.
