SALTMAN JOAN E. SALTMAN On November 20, 2008, Joan E. Saltman (nee Ettinger). Beloved wife of Roy Saltman; loving mother of Sara Ephross of Chapel Hill, NC, Peter Ephross and David Ephross, both of Brooklyn, NY; devoted mother-in-law of David Rubenstein, Bonnie Kerker and Tami Ephross; beloved stepmother of David Saltman, Eve Saltman and Skip Roncal, and Steven Saltman; loving grandmother of Joshua and Hannah Rubenstein, Ellie and Olive Ephross, Sydney Roncal, and Maxwell and Daniel Saltman. Funeral services will be held at The Meeting House: Oakland Mills Interfaith Center, 5885 Robert Oliver Place, Columbia, MD 21045, on Sunday, November 23, at 2 p.m. Interment Columbia Memorial Park, Columbia MD. My deepest condolences to the Saltman family on the passing of such a wonderful person. Dr. Saltman was an extraordinary teacher and mentor. Her skills within the classroom will truly be missed at Loyola. As a former student of hers, I will miss her wisdom and guidance as well as her wit and humor. She truly was a blessing in my life as a teacher. My deepest sympathy.

Dr. Saltman was an inspiring teacher, group leader, clinical supervisor, social worker, and friend. I was privileged to have known her for the past three years. Her enthusiasm and care for her family and clients came through in everything she said and did.
To her family, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of this incredible woman who truly made a positive difference in the world. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Dr. Saltman was an inspirational instructor and a model group counselor and for that I am greatly thankful. She will be truly missed.
