JOAN SCHOSHINSKI

Joan Gallagher Schoshinski  (Age 85)  
Of Garrett Park, MD passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Beloved wife of 58 years to Robert S. Schoshinski; devoted mother of M. Claire Brier (Frank), Robert G. Schoshinski (Alicia), Terence Schoshinski, Maura Boyd (Tom), and Patrick Schoshinski; caring grandmother to 11 grandchildren; and loving sister of William Gallagher. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jack and Jimmy Gallagher. Joan was born in Washington, DC, and grew up in the Brookland neighborhood and St. Anthony's parish. She was a graduate of McKinley Tech High School, and Dunbarton College. She worked for the American Medical Association, and after raising her children, for the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin as a public affairs staff member until her retirement in 1997. Relatives and friends may call at Holy Cross Church, 4900 Strathmore Avenue, Garrett Park, MD, social distancing and masks required, on Saturday, January 2, 2021, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
