On Sunday, October 2, 2016 JoAnn Theresa Hamill of Rock-ville, MD. Beloved wife of the late Russell Edward Hamill, Jr.; loving mother of Russell Edward Hamill, III (Paula) and Mary Lalos (Dimitri); grandmother of Anthony, Madilyn, Dylan, Lyndsay and Jackson Hamill, Katherine and Dimitri Lalos. Predeceased by both parents, John J. and Josephine Meehan and sister, Patricia Detig. Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 520 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20852 on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Rockville, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HEROES Inc (heroes.org) or Children's Hospital Foundation (www,childrensnational.org). Andy and I were so saddened to learn of Joann's passing. She was so sweet and kind to my mother-in-law Marilyn who was her roommate at RNH. Joann always put a smile on my face when I saw her and had only lovely things to say about everyone. I feel privileged to have known her and may she rest in peace.
