Joann Laurents May 1, 1921-December 10, 2020
Joann Laurents, 99 years of age, left for heaven on December 10, 2020 while wrapped in the loving arms of her daughter, Janice. She is survived by daughters, Joann and partner Gene, Janice and husband, Devon, and son Robert, Jr. and partner, Joan, her granddaughter, Joy and husband, Andres, and two great- grandchildren, Matias and Viviana. She was proceeded in death by husband Robert (Bob) B. Laurents, Colonel USAF retired. She was a resident of Greenspring Retirement Community where she and her husband lived for 18 years. All that knew her felt lucky to have been in her peaceful presence, and learned from her gentle, loving spirit. She was truly an angel on earth. Due to present Covid restrictions Virginia, there will not be a Memorial Service at the present time, but the family hopes to plan one for Arlington Cemetery where she will join her beloved husband in the Columbarium when it becomes possible.
