Joel Hirschhorn Obituary
Dr. Joel Stephen Hirschhorn
Dr. Joel Stephen Hirschhorn, of Chevy Chase, MD, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife Jaqueline M. Rams; by his daughters Terri Hayes and Lesa Stewart. He was predeceased by his sister Carol Babus and by his parents Blanche and Leon Hirschhorn.
Services at Ohr Kodesh Congregation, 8300 Meadowbrook Lane, Chevy Chase, MD 20815, on Friday, September 8th, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment Chevra Ahavas Chesed Cemetery - Randallstown. In lieu of flowers, please direct contributions to Suburban Hospital (suburbanhospital.org). The family will be in mourning at the home of Jacqueline Rams.

Dear Ms Rams and Family,
I was working on my scrap
book when I came across Joel´ 1973 photo. Something urged me to check what he might be doing currently. To my disappointment I learnt that he had passed away just a few months back. Joel was my professor and advisor at the university of Wisconsin, Madison in 1966/1967. I respected his knowledge and guidance and have wonderful memories. He had invited his graduate students to his home and I recall that his wife had been in school with Barbra Streisand. He had recommended me for my first job. I am sure he had a very commendable and satisfying career. May he rest in peace.
