Sorry to read today of Joel's passing, Rosanne. We had great times together at Kamp Kewanee. I think the last time I saw you was at our apartment in Silver Springs, MD many moons ago. May G-d bless his soul.

What a shock to read Joel's obituary in the Chronicle. He was a great guy. We had fun at Pirate games as kids, I rode my first motorcycle with him. His middle name was "fun." Generosity was his motto. He will be missed.

Roseanne, my friend, you know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Although I didn't know your brother, I know you have many memories of special times in your life you shared to comfort you. From all the wonderful comments here, it sounds like he lived an interesting and fulfilling life and was loved by many. He was a fortunate man.
Love,
Terry

El Capitan [The Captain]: It was with great loss and heavy heart that I heard this tragic news. My good friend, my former roommate, and DC nightlife partner, you will be missed by your friends as well as the Pro-Israel, DC/VA/MD legal, Cuban ex pat, and Salvadorian communities [As well as the late night Spanish TV ad placement agencies]. The lives you touched and to the folks in the arts who benefited from your generosity, will never be the same w/out you front and center fighting the fight. "The suit is driving".

Rosanne, I am so sorry for your loss. I am one of the few left who knew both you and Joel as kids in Pittsburgh back in the day. But I wasn't in your family, only your friend next door, and I realize that with Joel now gone there is no one in your life who remembers all your earliest days. Joel was a one of a kind guy. I know you will miss him very much and I feel so sad for you. Love always, Chris

I was shocked to learn of Joel,s death. Over 50 years ago we were classmates and good friends at Wightman School in the Squirrel Hill area of Pittsburgh. I last saw Joel at our 50th. elementary reunion a few years ago. He looked great. We used to play together after school at his house. His mother always welcomed everyone with open arms. In those days he was a great friend.

Joel Thank you my love for being the most wonderful person to come into my life, thank you for the 5 years that we spent together. I was very happy with you as my best friend, my boyfriend, my fiancé, my husband and all. It was only few months for us to get married but Hashem decided that you should go to your new home. Wait for me that so that we can be together. I love you so much. I will miss you.

Well, Joel, we had a few laughs, shared the births of our two children, and a 40th anniversary surprise party: and now this. You've left us before your time. We said goodbye today but our memories of you will last the rest of our lives.

We remember all the fun times at Telluride- your amazing memory of all the New Yorker film critics and the wonderful times in DC- lunch at the Church and Etheopian dinners. What inspiring thought processes and wanting to share great experiences. You will be missed.
