ALSTON JOHN M. ALSTON On Sunday, October 11, 2009. He is survived by his devoted wife Pauline; two sons, John M. Jr. (Jean) and George (Robin); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister Mattie; a host of other relative and friends. On Friday, October 16, from 6 until 8 p.m. Family will receive friends at HORTON AND REESE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 600 Kennedy St., NW. Viewing Saturday, October 17, 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Galbraith AME Zion Church, 1114 6th St., NW. Rev. Dr. Myrtle Bowen, Pastor. Interment Maryland National Cemetery. Arrangements by HORTON AND REESE.
