Of Punta Gorda, FL died January 3, 2005. Formerly a resident of Vienna, VA, he was predeceased by his wife, Barbara S. Draddy and his son-law, Robert L. Busch III. He is survived by his children, Mary D. Busch of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Daniel A. Draddy (Karen) of Stafford VA, Michael S. Draddy (Deareen) of Purcellville, VA, Martha A. Draddy of Aliso Viejo, CA and his sister, Jane (Skip) Mansfield of Punta Gorda, FL and nine grandchildren. Capt. Draddy served his country for 29 years as a USN Submariner. Capt. Draddy was awarded the Bronze Star for his service while CO of the USS CHARR 1963-1965. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at the Old Post Chapel, Arlington National Cemetery, on February 24, 2005 at 12:45 p.m., with interment immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.

John was my boss for many years at P&PNPF. He taught me a lot about what complete, quality work consists of. He was a genuinely good person. My condolences to his family.
