John B. Harkins (Age 90)
On Wednesday, July 26, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Jacqueline Harkins; father of Kathleen Fox, Ken Harkins and the late David Harkins; brother of William Harkins; grandfather of Kristine, Kelly, Matthew, Jesse and Sean; great-grandfather of Abigail, Alexander and Leah. Relatives and friends may call at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 11801 Claridge Road, Wheaton, MD, on Monday, July 31, from 10 to 11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. To Jackie and Jack's Family,
I'm heartbroken to hear of the loss of your beautiful mother, Jacqueline. Your wonderful parents attended the weekly Saturday, 5:15 p.m. mass at St. Catherine Laboure Church. They sat in the pew behind me every week and your mom would always let me know if they were going to miss the next Saturday mass so I wouldn't worry about them! I'm so grateful that I was able to see your mom at the Saturday mass on August 12th - she told me of Jack's passing. I was able to express my love and condolences for Jack and also give her hugs, kisses and to let her know that her family at St. Catherine Laboure would be there to support her. Your mom and dad gave me so much love and support when my mom passed away 2 years ago - I will never forget them. My thoughts, prayers and love are with your family at this difficult time. I will always pray for your beautiful Mom, Dad and your family. May God bless your family always.

Dear Jackie, I'm so sorry for the loss of Jack and I will deeply miss him. It was always a pleasure to see the both of you together at the 5:15 p.m. mass every Saturday at St. Catherine's. Dear Aunt Jackie, Kathy, and Kenny, and your families,
We were so sorry to hear of the loss of Uncle Jack- I can picture him so vividly at our many family gatherings when we were kids, especially at the holidays and at Knobles Park. Those were really special times, and he will always be a part of those fond memories.
