John Jaffe Obituary

John Jaffe, affectionately known as Jack, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024. Jack was 90 years old.
Jack was born on December 30, 1933 to Henry and Lilian Jaffe in Washington, DC. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. Upon graduation, Jack attended the University of Maryland in College Park and then joined the United States Air Force on July 14, 1953. Jack was honorably discharged as an Airman First Class. Upon discharge, he joined the family business as a general contractor with Jaffe New York Decorating Companies, where he worked for nearly 60 years before retiring in 2015. In 1988, Jack married his wife, Sandee. They lived together in Rockville, Maryland with Jack's step-son, Bryon Bereano. Upon retirement, Jack and Sandee enjoyed traveling and visiting family.
Jack is predeceased by his daughter Eve Jaffe (deceased 2000) and is survived by his wife Sandee; sons Benjamin (Terri) and Eric Jaffe, step-son Bryon (Margaret); grandchildren Beatrice and Max Bereano; nieces Rosea, Sari, Dajia, Besia, Chonis, and nephew Henry.
All donations should be made to Jewish Social Services Agency c/o JSSA P.O. Box 392492, Pittsburgh, PA 15251. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Sky Box, 5750 Bou Avenue, Rockville, Maryland 20852.

Jack was a close friend of mine. I just found out the devastating news. I will only think of our happy times. We would love to talk about the Washington Redskins. Between me and Jack we were at every Skins Super Bowls games. GOD BLESS !!!!!!
