Although I did not know Jack Keeney well, the times that I did meet him during family occasions with his son Jack, wife Kathy and their children he was always gracious and kind. His commitment to public service, his active life and his devotion to his family is an inspiration to all of us. My heartfelt sympathy to his children and their families on his passing.

Jack Keeney was a jewel of a man. His level, respectful judiciousness was a model for other prosecutors--both career and political. Seeing the issue from all sides, he sought the highest public interest. I was delighted by his professional company and proud to serve with him.

To the members of Jack's family, who remember him as the rest of us cannot, I hope that your sweetest memories of him rush forward to comfort you. What a remarkable father! What a remarkable life!

"Mr. Keeney" was a very kind and helpful man to me during my time at the Justice Department. There was never a time that I couldn't just drop in and have him be available. We give thanks for the long life that he had and the wisdom that he spread to others. Peace be to the family of this kind and gentle human being. Hebrews 13:1-8. Psalm 71: 1-6
