I think about John a lot. Perhaps, particularly in these weird times, I wish I could ask him what he thinks about what's going on. Or just had him to vent to when I can't cope. I miss him. And I wish he'd lived long enough to see Ben become a sports fanatic. He would have been so proud (and so baffled, given Ben's parentage). John left us too soon.

Here is what I have come to know about John after our eight year friendship at the dogpark...John truly believed in what he was fighting for, he always had a way of adding humor to any situation, and was a wonderful father and husband and father. His true passions in life were his wife, his daughter, and Tia. He will certainly be missed by everyone who knew him. And I will miss our conversations at the dog park. Pat, Caroline, & Tia you are in our prayers.

As a charter member of the "Lou Reed Walk on the Wild Side" dance quartet, the lad leaves behind an untouchable legacy. I will always cherish the hours we spent with a beer, a brat (cooked the Wisconsin way) and the talk of women and sports. Good midwestern boys all.

So many mourn John's passing. I will always remember how passionately he cared about his work. Occasionally cynical, but always ready to see the humor in any given challenge. A wonderful human being whom I will always remember with great fondness and admiration.

One savy guy. Nothing got past him. Tia's dad will be greatly missed in the neighborhood.

Our prayers are for you Pat and Caroline.

My sympathies to John's family. I will always remember John's willingness to spend time explaining issues and discussing strategies and laughing at much of the political silliness we dealt with. He was a dedicated and brilliant colleague. My thoughts and prayers are with John's loved ones.

I met John through work and always appreciated listening to his presentations. His energy was fun to be around

My condolences to John's family. I saw John just last Saturday trimming his hedge. It is hard to believe that he is gone. I will miss our brief chats while our dogs said hello.

John was a tremendous colleague and role model. We enjoyed many a Wisconsin Badger tale...and I still recall his 3rd base plays while visiting HQ one summer, only to watch him filed flawlessly while sharing the joy of baseball with his daughter! I will carry his laughter with me always!
