Johnny Mason, the leader of the venerable rhythm and blues group the Clovers, passed away on April 25, 2018 at his home.Memorial service for Johnny Mason of the Clovers is Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home, 7474 Landover Rd, Hyattsville, MD.

In loving memory of a wonderful neighbor, musician, and close friend. We miss you Johnny and I always dreamed of dueting with a famous musician but never got a chance to ask you. I regret not asking about your music career and I regret not spending as much time with you that I wanted to when you were sick. When I found out that you were sick, I was crying and I wanted to skip school and spend time with you and Alice. I feel your spirit whenever I'm doing music with my marching band and with my indoor drum line. So I always God bless you, Alice, and you're family always.
