JONATHAN EDWARD HENDERSON "HENDO"
Was born in Washington, DC on May 25, 1985. He entered Heaven's gates on Monday, November 19, 2018. Jonathan had an unwavering faith in God, which showed through his joyful, kind and gentle spirit. Jonathan is survived by his parents, George and Dyara Henderson; sisters, Talia Henderson and Carmen Vails; fiancée, Michelle Morrison; two grandmothers; one aunt; two uncles, their families and many cousins. A Funeral celebrating his life will be held at National Church of God, 6701 Bock Rd., Fort Washington, MD on December 6, 2018. Wake from 9 to 10 a.m., Service 10 a.m. Interment Washington National Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Arrangements by Strickland Funeral Services.www.stricklandfuneralservices.com

I met Jonathan through a mutual friend. He tought me how to do the "Wobble" dance. He always had interesting stories to tell and knew how to make me laugh and smile. I'll miss his friendly spirit. Wish the Henderson family peace, comfort, and healing.

Jonathan was a classmate and a colleague of mine and I have had the privilege of knowing him since 1993. He was our Karate Ace and a great leader among men. His humor was unparalleled and he was loyal to his friends, especially Jack, Mike, Kristy, Tom, Sarah, and Emil. With his loss, it's like we've lost a true leader. I wish I could make it to the funeral, but I have other business to attend to. I express my condolences to the Reverend and Mrs. Henderson, their daughters, Jonathan's widowed bride, all of Jonathan's colleagues past and present, his old friends Jack, Mike, Tom, Kristy, Sarah, Emil, and Natasha, and all those who knew our Karate Ace personally. Vayan con dios, Hendo (1985-2018)!!!
