A great friend and a great lawyer. Jonathan always had a smile and a good word that I found up-lifting. I looked up to him for that, his kind nature, powerful intellect and excellence in the courtroom, devoted to the work he loved on behalf of those in trouble. My sympathies to Jon's family for their tragic loss. I will miss him!

I visited Jon and Anne as a college student, where Jon's passion for law, music and history brought his home to life for me. Years later I was privileged to see his joy as he discovered Sydney, Australia. His energy made anything seem possible, and everything seem intriguing. I am honoured to have known him - he will be so missed.

Jonathan was a great friend and colleague during our years in law school. While we lost touch in recent years, I remember him fondly. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to his family.

I was stunned to hear of Jon's death. Although we had lost touch over the years, we roomed together for a year and half in law school and he was also an usher in my wedding. We also sang together in the Baptist church choir in Williamsburg. Jonathan will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace and my sincere condolences to his family.

Jonathan was a wonderful person and attorney. He made us all better lawyers. His court-appointed service was the best community service a lawyer can do.

There are no words that I can say that effectively convey our sorrow. Jon is my cousin, my brother, my friend. I can still here his booming voice and smile when I think of his wit and observation. I miss him terribly and just never thought he wouldn't be around. When I'd see him after a long period of not seeing him, I would involuntarily smile. I loved Jon. My deepest sympathy goes out to his loving wife Anne, his mom (Aunt Cathy), my cousin David and his beautiful family. So very sad.
