Jonathan and his wife, Ellen, adopted 2 very special dogs from the SPCA of Northern Virginia. They cared for and loved those dogs so well! Their 2nd dog, Magnolia, was a frightened dog who lost her home due to Hurricane Katrina. Their love gave her a wonderful life. They even kept in touch with the family that adopted Magnolia's friend. They were such good people! We're sad to have lost Ellen and now, Jonathan.

I always loved working with Jonathan. I would always light up when I saw him calling, and especially when he would visit and sit and talk with us at the Academy. The world has lost an incredible soul, one who would help any person or any animal.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I knew Jonathan to be a kind, responsible/ reliable and respected member of our neighborhood homeowners association board. On one occasion following a tumultuous storm I contacted him regarding a newly-dangerous tree near a road frequented by members of our neighborhood. He thanked me for my information and then proceeded to handle the situation most expeditiously. Through the years I enjoyed hearing about his consistent and unselfish actions on behalf of my neighbors and me; he was a true blessing......

I knew Jonathan to be an active member of our neighborhood homeowners association where he was always kind, respectful and responsible/thorough. On one occasion following a tumultuous storm I contacted him about a newly-dangerous tree near a road frequented by our community members. He thanked me for the information and then proceeded to take care of the situation most expeditiously. It was an honor to hear over the years about how he regularly and unselfishly served our community.
