My prayers go out to the family of Pastor Gilmore. As one of the (young)founders in the churchs early years, Pastor Gilmore was the strength of every being at Mt. Ephraim's beginning. He will be missed. I do visit from time to time and will miss his hugs and kind words. I too am the daughter of (Deacon Clifford E. Lancaster and Deaconess Nancy S. Lancaster.) I will continue to visit as I know his words will still be heard. May god give the family the strength to continue to carry on in their time of rejoice.

My prayers go out for the Gilmore family. I see Pastor Gilmore just like it was yesterday, when I first joined and he welcomed me like I had always been a member. He married me and my husband 12 years ago this month. Pastor has truely been a blessing to me over the years and I will truely miss him, even though I joined another chuch, my home church will always be Mt. E. I want to send special prayers for Todd, him and my sister Trina have been friends for years, they are like sisters and brothers, I have watched him grow from a teenager to a man, I am very proud of Todd and thank GOD for all the great things that GOD has done in Todd's life. I am asking for GOD to continue to give the Gilmore family the strengh they will need to carry on, know that one day they will see Pastor again. I want you all to always remember, that GOD is a good GOD, it may seem that he took another solider away, but he took him because he needed a solider that would stand up for him no matter what the situation was, that's why he chose Pastor.

To the Gilmore Family and Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church,

Thank God for Pastor Gilmore and the work that he did to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through every ministry of Mt. Ephraim. His kindness and generosity of spirit will never be forgotten. I'm most appreciative of the wisdom that he shared with me over the years and for the opportunities he provided for me to exercise the ministry gifts that God entrusted to me at Mt. Ephraim.

The work that he did, the life that he lived and the service that he gave will speak for him for decades to come. My condolences to you and my prayers are with you.

To the Gilmore and Mount Ephraim Family.
I was very deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Pastor Gilmore.
He was truly a man of God and a great shepherd. I moved back to Dallas Texas 10 years ago this month but I still remember the blessed years that I worshiped at Mt Ephraim. Whenever I visited the church, I was just touched by how Pastor Gilmore would recognize me and ask me for expressions. You will never know just how much Pastor helped me get back on the right path. May God continue to bless and keep you.

Sincerely,

Kathy Brewington

To Mrs. Gilmore and family,

Rev. Gilmore was a tremendous “Gift to the Body of Christ”. Since my days as a young man, Rev. Gilmore was (and continues in spirit) to be a very powerful and extremely positive role model for me. His obedience to our heavenly Father, has yielded so many blessings to my life, and to the lives of countless others. We look forward to seeing him again. To the Gilmore Family please accept my condolences and deepest sympathies for your loss. Rev. Gilmore was a man of principle and purpose whose actions always commanded one’s respect and admiration yet at the same time you knew how deep his love embodied his family, his flock and most of all, his God. He constantly set examples in life for us to follow and for that he will be greatly missed. However take comfort in the fact that he left a legacy within our hearts and souls that will always be a part of us reaffirming his eternal spirit. May God grant peace and comfort to your soul during this moment of sadness but may he also give you the strength to stand firm and tall as time passes on.

God Bless you All.

Dear Mrs. Gilmore and Family,

We are so very sorry for your loss. Your family, is like family to us, and we are grieving right along with you. Rev. Gilmore will certainly be missed, and all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

To lose a loved one is like losing a piece of yourself. But the love that Rev. Gilmore brought you did not leave, for the essence of the soul lingers on. It cannot escape your heart, for it has been there forever.

Hold onto the memories and let them find a way to heal you. The love and laughter, and the joy in the togetherness you shared, will make you strong. You'll come to realize that your time together, no matter how long, was meant to be, and that you were blessed to have such a precious gift in your life.

Trust in your faith to guide you through, and know that though life moves on, the beauty of love stays behind to surround and embrace you. Your husband, father, grandfather, and brother has left you that.....to hold in your hearts forever.

With Deepest Sympathy,
The Brown (Anita & Jessica) and Clark (Leola) Families

I will definitely miss my Pastor for selfish reasons. Pastor cared passionately about his church family, yes we were his "DARLINGS" as he saluted us every Sunday. Pastor surprised me last year when he called me on my birthday and always always asked my sisters about my whereabouts when I was absent from church. I will miss talking football to him as I would exit through the doors. His love for the Redskins and my love for the Steelers. He was the only minister I allowed to anoint my head after the homegoing of my mother (Rev. Deborah Singletary) and I will truly miss that. Thank you Lord for allowing me to fellowship with Pastor for what seems to be such a short time on earth however his lasting impression will remain with me for a lifetime...

Dear Mrs. Gilmore and Family,

I will forever cherish the most recent memories of moments shared with my Pastor and am grateful for the relationship that we enjoyed over the past 25-years. Pastor Gilmore was a Soldier on the battlefiled for the Lord until the very end, exemplifying steadfast faith in and devotion to God. Since the time that he baptized me in 1982, the teachings and wise counsel that I have received from him established the foundation upon which my Christian development has flourished to this day. He holds a special place in my heart and I always will remember the kindness and concern that he showed towards me. I am so thankful for the blessed opportunity that my father and I had to visit with him during my last trip home earlier this month...it was a special time indeed---I truly will miss my Pastor.

I pray that God will strengthen and comfort your hearts during this most sorrowful time.

Love to you all,
