JOSEPH THOMAS NEWSOM "Joey"
Joseph Thomas Newsom died suddenly in his sleep on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Joseph was born in Cheverly, MD. He grew up in Prince Georges County, MD, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and W. Palm Beach, FL. He graduated from Bowie Senior High School. He attended Bowie State University and New Mexico Highlands University. Joseph was also a licensed bartender.Joey is survived by his parents, Mary Thomas Newsom "Patsy" and Leslie B. Newsom "Boh"; sister, Lisa Price; nephew, Darryl Price; aunts, Estelle and Betty Thomas; uncles, John and William Thomas; a host of cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 10 at J.B. JENKINS FUNERAL HOME, 7474 Landover Rd.www.jbjfh.com

I am sending prayers for Joe's family. I think of Joe often and I wish he would have come back to New Mexico. He was my little brother, at least we used to say we were related and to see peoples expression was such a hoot. He was the little brother I always wanted. We watched out for each other and I truly miss him and his laughter. He always was such a sweet heart. I will miss him until I get to see him again. Save me a place, my little brother, until we meet again.
