On Wednesday May 25, 2005. Beloved husband of 60 years of Solveig Salvino. Devoted father to Jeanine and William. Also surviving are one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Born in Vandergrift, PA. World War II Navy service included 27 months in the Pacific principally at USNH, Efate, as Chief Pharmacist's Mate. Pharmacy graduate of the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, 1950. Hospital pharmacist at NIH Clinical Center. Area Pharmacy Officer, Indian Health Service, Phoenix, Arizona and Anchorage, Alaska. Personnel Officer, O.S.G. He had a life long interest in the restoration of the American Chestnut tree. In retirement he was an avid reader of history and politics, loved to cook, enjoyed gardening and photography. Services will be held at a later date.
