Joseph Tomaszewski Obituary

Dr. Joseph Edward Tomaszewski died at his home on September 26, 2025. He is survived by his wife Jeanette, his children Brian and Heather (Andrew Smith); his grandchildren Alex Wood, Carter and Madison Smith and step granddaughters Katie and Milley Smith.
Joe dedicated his life to research compounds, drugs and delivery solutions for Cancer and AIDS. He was branch chief of DTP and also worked in the office of the Director at Division of NCTC.
He loved improving our home where he added a garage, family room and windows. He also enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and being with his kids.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 3 to 6 p.m. in ROBERT A. PUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Montgomery Avenue, Rockville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church, Dunster and Falls Roads, Rockville. Interment in Rockville Cemetery.
