JOYCE REED AYERS NIXON  
On Friday, November 24, 207. Preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Raye Nixon. She is survived by two sons Curtis N. Otey (Kathy) and Anthony R. Otey; one foster son, Dorwell White (Carol); two sisters, Rose A. Virgil and Miriam A. Dixon five brothers, William E. Ayers, Jr. (Majorie), Julian R. Ayers (Julie), Abdoul/Earl D. Ayers (Musunda); Donald P. Ayers and Kenneth H. Ayers (Michelle). She also leaves to mourn a special sister-in-law, Emma Nixon-Britt; a very special long time friend, Eunice Carolyn Tildon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; in-laws of the Nixon family; God-children; other relatives and friends. Visitation 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m., Monday, December 4, 2017 at Ward Memorial AME Church, 241 - 42nd St., NE. Rev. Dr. Debyii L. Sababu-Thomas, Officiating. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD. Arrangements by POPE FUNERAL HOME.
