If this is the Judy Heintz who ran afterschool childcare for kids at Lafayette and elsewhere, then I was one of the children she cared for in 1984... we all adored her, and I think of her everytime I walk down her street in Chevy Chase.

I did not know Judith Heinz. However, I wrote a biography of Judith's second cousin Jane Elizabeth Zion - now deceased - who spoke very kindly of Judith on several occasions. I've clearly missed someone special.

Judy has always been someone I have looked up to and have been inspired by. Her beauty and grace shined on me the first time that I met her and through my best friend Linda daily. I am proud to have been touched and would like to extend my deepest symphothy to the family. Her spirit indeed lives on and I will continue to be inspired by it. She will be missed.
peace and blessings,

Our thoughts and memories are with you, Ted and your family. Many years ago, Judy took care of our two,Michael and Christina. Her care and kindnesses will always be remembered and valued. In recent years,I talked to Judy at child care meetings, and she was always the same - kind, enthusiastic about children and committed to helping families.
Peace,
Chris and Jim Scanlon

There was so much that Judy did for my mother and me. She taught me a lot, and there are plenty of situations in life where I remember some of those things she taught me.
