Julia Jackson Obituary

Julia P. Jackson, 89, of Clinton, Maryland, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, after a long illness. Affectionately known as "Julia Mae" to her family and friends, she will be remembered for her incredible kindness, vibrant spirit, and unwavering love for those around her.
Julia dedicated 27 years of federal service to her country through her work as Supervisory Management Analyst with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Provost Marshal General, Judge Advocate General (JAG), and the Defense Investigative Service, retiring in 1981.
She is survived by her loving children: Everett Jackson (Anita), Gerard Jackson, and Eldora Jackson Valentine (Andre). Julia's legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Jazmine Herron Spilman (Josh), Harrison Jackson, Hunter Jackson, and Sydney Valentine; and her great-grandchildren: Riley and Rory Spilman. She is also survived by her dear sister, Mary Elaine Blackwell, sisters-in-law, and many other loving relatives and friends. Julia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Al E. Jackson; her eldest daughter, Valencia Jackson Herron (Burt); and her daughter-in-law, Cheryl H. Jackson.
A celebration of Julia's life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 8908 Old Branch Avenue, Clinton, Maryland. Visitation will take place from 11 to 11:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735.
