JULIUS SCHNEIDER Obituary


JULIUS W. SCHNEIDER "Jay"  
Of Bethesda, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on February 9, 2017.Born in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania on June 27, 1943, he was the son of the late Julius "Red" Schneider and Eleanor (James) Schneider.Mr. Schneider married the former Arlene Frumin, who preceded him in death. They are survived by their son, Ted Schneider, Chicago, IL; daughter and son-in-law, Paige and A.J. Emerson, Silver Spring, MD; and grandchildren, Annie and Cady Emerson.Jay was a 1965 graduate of Yale University and completed graduate work at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. For most of his career, he worked as a recruiter and HR consultant in the professional services industry.Jay was also an active member of Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church, where he served on the board and sang in the choir for many years.Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 29 at 3 p.m. at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, Maryland.Donations in memory of Jay may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or to Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church.
