Karl Emil Gansberg

Karl Emil Gansberg was born on December 26, 1932 in Jersey City, New Jersey, and departed this life on November 17, 2025 in Bristow, Virginia surrounded by his family. Karl dedicated his life to serving his country. He spent 27 years in active military service, followed by 15 years of civil service and more than a decade volunteering at Quantico National Cemetery. Karl is survived by his wife, JoAnne; his daughter, Sharon; his stepdaughters, Donna, Lisa, Nancy; his grandchildren, Shaun, Krystal, Nygel; his step-granddaughter, Christina; his great-grandson, Christopher; and his half-sister, Gail. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, VA, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Quantico National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Pierce Funeral Home.
