Dear Kohler Family
I grew up with Gene, going to West Elementary school on Farragut St, N.W. in D.C. I lived at 916 Emerson Street only a few blocks from Gene and Bob. I heard about Gene's passing just today from a Roosevelt High School classmate who saw the obit. in the Washington Post. While I had not seen Gene since our last class reunion 10 years ago, I have fond memories of Gene as a really nice guy who was smart, dependable and honorable. My sympathies.
