Kathleen Keller Obituary

Kathleen E. (Shinton) Keller, Age 79 passed away peacefully in Dowell, MD on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Kathleen was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on February 28, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary Grace Shinton.

Kathleen was a graduate of Catherine McAuley Practical Nursing School in Pittsburgh, PA in 1966. In 1968, she married her beloved husband Dan Keller at Holy Trinity Catholic church in Pittsburgh. She and Dan resided in Southern Maryland for almost 30 years before retiring to South Carolina. She lived her life with love, grace, and kindness. There wasn't a holiday she didn't host, a pie she could not bake or happy hour she did not attend. If you wanted to find her on a Sunday she was in church praying for her family, friends, and the Washington Redskins.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dan Keller; her brothers, Howard (Chris) Shinton Jr. and Thomas Shinton along with sisters Ellen Colon and Amy Harrell. She is survived by her siblings Mary Grace Murphy, Suzanne Gergerich, Marion O'Toole, Janine, Dennis, Kevin, James, and Matthew Shinton. She was the loving mother of Patrick and Kimberly Keller. She adored her grandchildren Faith and Danny Keller along with their devoted Mother Marian Adams and son-in-law Patrick Chervenak.

Kathleen's family would like to thank the staff at The Hermitage at Solomons Island for their care.

Private service planned.
