Kathleen Woods Obituary

February 13, 1952 – September 26, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Maclutsky Woods, who left us peacefully on September 26, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on February 13, 1952, in Albany, NY, Kathy graduated from Union College in Schenectady, NY, and worked for the NY Public Service Commission, US Telecom Association, and most recently the Outdoor Power Equipment Association.
Kathleen Woods is survived by her husband, Steve, Sisters Rita Michon of Schenectady, NY, and Jeanne Fraser of North Easton, MA, and her Brother John Makulski of Rexford, NY. She will be lovingly remembered by family, friends, and all who knew her.
Kathy loved to travel, especially to Maine, always searching for the best lobster roll. She also loved to collect unique, eclectic jewelry, performing arts, and loved her cats. Kathy was a special "Aunt" to all her neighbors' children, whom she saw grow up and share in their special moments and accomplishments as they grew from young children who loved to spend time with her to young adults.
In honoring Kathy's wishes, there will be no formal services. The family kindly asks that any expressions of sympathy be directed toward Myotonic Dystrophy Association.
Rest in peace, Kathy. You will forever be in our hearts.
