KENNETH J. WATTER
Kenneth J. Watter of Gaithersburg, Maryland, passed away on December 4, 2023. Originally from Kearny, New Jersey, Ken spent the last 40 years as a Certified Public Accountant in Montgomery County, Maryland. Ken was a beloved father, brother, business partner and comedian. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed by his family, friends, and clients. Ken found humor in any situation, and believed the world is a better place when laughter can be brought into the mix. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy. He leaves behind his daughter, Katherine; son, William and his wife, Alisha; brother Daniel and his wife, Laurie; sister, Hillary; and father, Stanley. Viewing and Services will be Monday, December 11, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 16420 S Westland Dr., Gaithersburg, MD from 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. with service to begin at 11 a.m. Interment at Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 12899 Veirs Mill Rd., Rockville, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations can be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the Montgomery County Humane Society. Please sign family guestbook at

Can't think about Ken without seeing the smirk and the twinkle in his eye. Funny, smart, caring - he will be sorely missed by many of his CPA friends!!!

I can´t even remember how long Ken took care of my family. And that´s no exaggeration; as our accountant, Ken saw us through some difficult years after my parent´s respective illnesses left them in able to run their business and its responsibility transferred to me. Ken had long been my business accountant and suddenly we were rebuilding my parent´s real estate company as well. Thanks to Ken, the company flourished. We were so lucky to have the unflappable Ken Watter as accountant, but it was his kindness and reassuring manner that I will always cherish about this wonderful man. I will really miss him.
