An immigrant from Myanmar (Burma), a mother of 14, a grandmother of 21, and a great grandmother of nine, died October 14, 2006 at 9:30 p.m. at her home in Rockville, MD. She had pneumonia and heart failure. She received all her attention from her children: Kyi Kyi Pyone (oldest daughter, a nurse), Khin Win (second daughter), Khin Chit (fourth daughter), Khin Thit (fifth daughter), Maung Htay (fifth son-in-law), U Zin (youngest son, a Buddhist monk) and all grandchildren who are in the area. Her body was donated to Maryland State Anatomy Board of Medical School at Baltimore. We are deeply sorry for her loss, and, as tradition, we will be offering food at the Aung Yandanar Temple, 4910 Brookeville Rd, Brookeville, MD 20833, before the seventh day of her death which is on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 11 a.m.
