Wow! I am saddened to find this news of Larry's passing online after all these years. He and I were childhood friends in Brownsville, Brooklyn. We attended Thomas Jefferson together, and spent almost a decade of wonderful memories throughout our school years, as well as the neighborhood. I found this while searching effortless for him. I pray that the family has been able to get through these years with fond memories of a man who ALWAYS had a heart for the people. Larry my brother, you will always be remembered for the love you shared - even when you didn't realize you were. I have been sharing this news with those who knew you back then.

Mr. Broadus was a very special parent at Quander Road School and it was an absolute pleasure working with him and Kayvon. Mr. Broadus visited Quander regularly to support Kayvon and it was always a pleasure to see him come into the building. I often wished he would lead a parent group to be a role model and inspiration to other fathers. His cooperative and supportive nature was unsurpassed and he will be missed.

Members of Quander Road Faculty were devastated to hear the sad news of Larry's passing. He was a very supportive father while Kayvon was a student in our school. My heart and prayers are extended to the family during this time. I hope you will find ways to celebrate his life.

My prayers are extended to the family of Larry Broadus. Although, I did not have Kayvon as a student I saw Mr. Broadus in the building to support his son, and he always greeted me with a smile. There was no doubt that he deeply cared and loved his son.
Sincerely,

So sorry to hear the sad news of Mr. Larry Broadus' death. Mr. Broadus was a caring parent. I got to know him through his son Kayvon, who attended school where I worked. He was always willing to get involved in anything that would help Kayvon succeed. I am sure he will be greatly missed by many. I'll miss how we joked about our NFL teams, (he was a Giants fan and I am an Eagles fan). God rest his soul and God bless the family.
