Lawrence Honaker Obituary
Lawrence Michael Honaker (Age 72)
Lawrence Michael Honaker of Oakton, Virginia passed away on May 24, 2023, after complications from a heart procedure.
Michael, "Mike", was born on March 23, 1951, to Chester and Carol Honaker in Lebanon, Virginia. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1969, Mike went on to graduate with his PhD from the University of Alabama.
Mike had a successful career leading up to becoming the Deputy CEO of the American Psychological Association, a position he was honored to hold for nearly 25 years.
In 1979, Mike married Debi Blaxton and had two children, Robert (1982) and Laura (1984).
After retiring in 2015, Mike spent his time working on home improvements, a shed he was deeply proud of, playing his favorite computer game, Final Fantasy 14, and loving on his grandchildren and granddog.
Mike was predeceased by his father, Chester, and his brother, Steve. Mike is survived by his mother, Carol, his loving wife, Debi, his son, Robert (Elizabeth), his daughter, Laura, his three grandchildren, Declyn, Rylinn, and Kadyn, and will be missed by granddog, Beau.
There will be a family-led service for Mike on June 2, 2023, at 12 p.m. at the Money & King Funeral Home, located at 171 Maple Ave W, Vienna, VA 22180. Learn more about Mike on Money & King's website.

Mike was an exceptional man of honor and integrity. He was able to see other´s point of view as well as solutions to differences so much more clearly than the rest of us. He was a mentor to many, and took great joy in enhancing the lives of others. Words can´t express how he will be missed.
