LAWRENCE F. TRAVERS
On Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 4:10 p.m. Lawrence F. Travers died of heart failure. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Travers of 28 years, his parents Isadore and Lucy Travers, and many other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, April 4, 2014 from 10 a.m. until hour of service 11 a.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church, 1808 Capitol Ave NE. Interment Heritage Memorial Park. Services by BIANCHI.

I am remembering a man whose word was his bond. Whose friendship was a gift and whose smile lit the world around him. No one ever just worked with Lawrence...you were his friend. We were all so lucky!

Lawwrence,
Since we met almost 20 years ago through our membership in the National Property Management Association (NPMA)we grew to be just like blood brothers. I'm going to miss the rap sessions we had and the many fun times we shared at the annual NES. You will always be a ray of hope as I continue to charge on in life and don't worry I will continue to make sure the lawn is taken care of. Rest in Peace my Brother and my Friend.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to his family and dear friends on his passing. He was a great man, and the old days of SAIC, I would always run into him at the elevators, his smile was electric and he always could make you laugh. I will remember the good times. It is upsetting that the good ones are always taken away too soon. Rest in Peace Lawrence and please watch over your loved ones. You will always be in our hearts and our memories and deeeply missed.

I pray God's peace to the Travers Family. Lawrence was a good friend and colleague in the many years we shared in NPMA. We always joked about our New York accents here in Maryland. Family, please remember your good times with Lawrence and I am sure there were many. He will be missed!

I would like to let the family know that it was an honor to have known Lawrence. He was a true man of God. I am also grateful for him bringing me into the Masonic Order. He will truly be missed by many whose lives were touched and each made a better person.

I was shocked and saddened to read the news about Lawrence's passing. I had the wonderful pleasure of working with him for 13 years at M/A-COM / SAIC, and he was always a bright light in everyone's day. Lawrence Travers was my favorite cousins. I am surely going to miss him as I especially made him laugh numerous times. He was like a big brother to me. I love you Lawrence. May you truly rest in peace.

I was surprised and saddened to hear about Lawrence's death at such an early age. He was a good friend and a wonderful employee. We spent many interesting hours together traveling throughout the Washington. Diane and I will remember him in our prayers. Our sympathy to Yvonne and his parents.
