I only come to this lately, learning minutes ago that a kind friend from my DC years passed. Larry, you were one of a kind, and "kind" is truly the right word for you. You were -- ARE -- one of the most genuine and genuinely KIND people I have ever known, especially in those DC years, in a town full of jaded characters. Your sincerity, your laughter, your BRILLIANT smile...you were the real deal in a world sorely lacking those qualities in so many. Brother, I will see you in heaven someday, and give you a long overdue bearhug. Love ya, man, always.

Larry was the best friend a girl could ever have and he was my "guy" best friend. We met at Riggs in the 90's and his smile and laugh were infectious. I loved spending time with Larry and his awesome family. We continued our friendship when I moved to FL. The last time we got together was for lunch during a visit home, along with his wonderful Mom, and the 3 of us couldn't stop laughing! Memories like that will always remain with me and Larry is forever loved and missed. Love, blessings and condolences to the family and friends!

Larry will be missed terribly. I always talked with him about our travels when we met with the whole family. He was so friendly, warm and caring. Rest In Peace Larry, we will never forget you!!

Larry was one of the first people I got to know at Riggs more than 20 years ago. A great person who always inspired me with you his smile, willingness to help and great attitude. I did not know he was a Gonzaga Man but even more proud my sons study there now. I will miss him.

I will miss Larry. He would always brighten my day at the bank. Our families had known the large Walsh families for decades. Larry's father, John, was my favorite Walsh. My father was an independent broker with the old Thos D. Walsh RE Co. We had so many conversations about his dad, our families, the Jesuits, and the banking business. I am sad we never got together for lunch, but maybe some day.
Rest in peace.
