NOVOTNY, LEONARD (Age 76)

Of Vero Beach, FL and Gwinn, MI died Thursday, February 12, 2004 at VNA Hospice House. He was born October 14, 1927 in Lilly, PA. He has been a seasonal resident of Vero Beach since 1997 coming from Gwinn, MI. He was a retired Washington, DC Firefighter. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during WWII. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He attended St. Helen's Catholic Church, Vero Beach, FL. He is survived wife of 49 years, Vivian Novotny of Gwinn, MI and Vero Beach, FL; sons, Bruce Novotny, Frederick, MD and Steven Novotny of Gwinn, MI; daughter, Joanne Burdick of Marquette, MI; sisters, Marcella Novotny of Silver Spring, MD, Mary Ann Flynn of Gettysburg, PA and Joan Gobrecht of Arlington, VA; brother, John Novotny of Ellicott City, MD; and one grandson. Services will be held in Florida. Donations may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1111 36th St., Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Mr. Novotny. Arrangements are under the direction of THOMAS S. LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, Vero Beach, FL.
