LOUIS METCALF Obituary


LOUIS E. METCALF, III  
A lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, died on Thursday, March 3, 2016 in his home in Woodbridge, VA. Born in Washington DC, Lou graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Finance. During his 40 years in the financial industry Lou held many positions including Auditor and Chief Financial Officer. Each Spring you could see his face light up as Spring Training would begin. Lou enjoyed the history of baseball especially the Negro League which produced so many outstanding players.As a woodcarver he produced high quality pens that were works of art. He is survived by his wife, Amy; son, Louis; daughter, Audrey Hunt; two step daughters Lawren Cochran and Rachel Sprague; mother, Claire Metcalf; brothers, George and Greg, and seven grandchildren.Lou you went too soon and we all miss you.Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Mountcastle Funeral Home located at 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, VA 22191.
