Rodney, Caryl, Jamellah and the entire Ellis Family:
We were so sorry to learn of Malik's passing and know what a great loss this is for all of you. Malik fought the good fight of faith as a mighty man of valor, character and integrity. Our prayer is that the Lord would continue to comfort you in the weeks and months ahead as only He can: "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4). With love and prayers.

As long as we live, they too will live;
For they are now a part of us:
As we remember them!
At the rising sun and at its going down we remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter we remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring we remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer we remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of the autumn we remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends we remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us. As we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart we remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make we remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share we remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs we remember them.
For as long as we live, they too will live,
For they are now a part of us, as we remember them

Jamellah and Family, I was so shock and sad when my wife called me last night to tell me the news of Malik, It hit me like a ton of bricks, I've known Malik for a long while now and even though our acquaintances was on a business relationship, but I am one to tell you Malik was a man that was pleasant to work with and simply to do business with, I am sad that he is no longer here, I feel the void, Jemellah and family, please take one day at a time, it hurts, it is rough, but time heals all wound. Malik no more pain, you have done your work here on earth and truly with a great impact. Because what I have witness about you, your impact on others was nothing but a positive one. Rest In Peace Malik, truly will miss you.

Dear Ellis Family
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Malik. It disturbed me as if he were a family member.
Malik was a warrior. The WEB page he created was very informative. His parents did well raising him from the little boy I use to see running up in down the football field to the God fearing man husband and father. Nadine his mom made sure he was well rounded.
My prayers are with you.

October 15, 2014

Dear Rodney & Caryl,

God works in mysterious ways. For some reason, despite my tiredness, I paused to read the entire Washington Post, where I sadly learned the news of Malik's passing. When I visited his page on the Chordoma Foundation's website and other websites that chronicled his experiences with this disease, I was pleased to read of his courage and profound faith in God.

As a former fellow church member of yours at Unity in Washington, DC, I believe that Malik was a child of God who came to the planet to both educate people about chordoma and to find a cure for the cancer that claimed his life.

Just as Malik was a person of faith, so are you. Just as he embraced his faith during this final journey, you must embrace your faith even more now.

May you always find comfort in all the love that Malik shared with you, his entire family, and whoever God sent to help him walk this last journey.

May you continue to feel his love from across the veil.

Just as Malik is at peace, so should you, for his soul is free.

You and the entire family are in my prayers.

Rodney,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your son Malik. I'm sure you are proud of the man Malik was -- one who was dynamic and honorable, and one who made a positive impact on the lives of many during his short time in this earthly realm. May your sadness today be tempered by God's love and the knowledge that you will indeed meet again. My prayers go out to you, Malik's wife Jamelleh and their children, and to the entire Ellis family.

Love,

Dear Family,
I didn't have the opportunity to meet Malik, however, through the love and words of his mother n law, I felt like I new him personally. Malik lived a wonderful life and his work on earth was done. He has now transitioned to his eternal heavenly home where there will be no more pain. He's now with His heavenly Father and he will be your guardian angel forever. The family was blessed to have a husband, father, son and friend such as Malik. Bless you all in your time of sorrow.
