Margaret Farrell Bowen "Peg" (Age 68)
Died on July 2, 2023 at the Adder Capital Caring Hospice facility of colon cancer, a resident of Annandale, VA and recently of Sarasota, FL. Grew up in Elmira, NY. Started her career managing logistics for PT Barnum and Bailey Circus. Moved to the political arena working for 10 years on the staffs for two congressmen and later for two public advocate firms. She also served in several critical roles for the Association of Roman Catholic Women Priests.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E Bowen II and is survived by her five step children, Michael (Judy Shampanier), Thomas (Marianne Staats), Joseph (Supattra), Paul and Rita Bowen (Matt Gatto) and ten grandchildren. She was predeceased by her eldest step son, Robert E. Bowen, III (Amy Lemmon). Peg was the youngest of four children and was beloved by her large extended family and many friends. A Funeral service will be held at Murphy's Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22203 on Thursday, October 26, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Interment will take place the following day Friday, October 27th at 10 a.m. at Arlington National Cemetery.
