Marion T. Alexander, "Alex"  
On October 21, after a brief illness. Alex is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Doris (Bushong) Alexander. He also leaves four children: Greg Alexander (Ros,) Wes Alexander (Cathy,) Patty Moore and Debbie Brown (Jeremy,) 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, five siblings and son-in-law, Donald Moore (Patty). Born on June 13, 1930, in Mardela Springs, MD, Alex moved to the Washington, DC area as a teenager. He raised his family in Greenbelt, and College Park, MD before retiring to Frederick, MD where he enjoyed gardening, volunteering for many organizations, traveling with Doris and playing an active role in his church. He had a forty year, fulfilling career at the American Type Culture Collection in Rockville, MD as a microbiologist. He was an inspiration to his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Celebration of Life on November 20 at 11 a.m., First Baptist of Frederick. Memorial contributions may be made to First Bapist Church of Frederick or the Homewood Foundation.

Dear Doris, my deepest sympathy for you and your family. Alex is fondly remembered as a wonderful teacher of God's Word, a kind and compassionate man, a man who loved God, his dear wife and family, and the church. You're in my prayers. I love you, Doris.
