Mark Epstein was one of the finest human beings I have been blessed to call friend'. When I think of Mark, the first thing that comes to mind was what a great Father he was He loved, talked about, devoted himself, to his daughter Ali and son Dash. I cannot think of a man who was a finer example of what it means to be a good father. Mark was also one of most giving, supportive friends I have ever known. Generous, helpful, fun, funny, interesting, entertaining, inspiring responsible, committed, there are not enough descriptive words of what it means to be a great man, a trusted colleague, a true friend to give justice to Mark Epstein. He made us all strive to be better, in every way a human being can be and for all his many accomplishments, he was still humble and gracious for those who really knew him. He was an adult, a grown-up who put responsibility and the needs of others ahead of his own, yet, he was a pleasure to be around. Not only are we' human beings all better as people for having had Mark Epstein in our lives but so too is the earth and the natural world he more than did his part to care for. He will be missed but he will be remembered. My deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers for Ali, Dash, his dear mother and family.

I've never known a bigger-hearted person. He was passionate about many things (tennis, basketball, music, the environment, friendship, etc.) He loved his family and adored Aly and Dash and could not have been a prouder Dad. I know he will continue to inspire them. I miss my friend and I know others will as well.

Rest in peace Mark. I spent my childhood knowing you for many years and I'm proud of you because you lived an exemplary life and there clearly aren't enough people like you out there. To all of Mark's closest friends, many of whom are friends of mine, I grieve with you although my memories of Mark are from school days. Mark was a nice and good person then, and I'm certainly not surprised that he did so much with his life. Its very sad but I'm so happy that Mark touched so many.

Childhood friends are some of the best friends, as they keep us young at heart. You, Mark Epstein, will remain young in our hearts. The world is a better place for you having been a part of it, even if it wasn't for enough years.

To the Epstein family, Bob and I are very saddened by the death of Mark. We knew him as a remarkable young man and he grew to be a remarkable man. Our sympathies are with the family. Beverly and Bob Chell
