OMG, so sorry to hear about this. Mark was the best landlord ever. I rented the 2nd floor from 2240 Wilson back in the late 1990s. He was probably the most humble and grounded man I have ever known. I remember his "fancy" Dodge Dynasty was it? It would be great if we could all learn something from him. I know I tried to.

Where do I start? In the '80s I had to go to the the pleasure of meeting Mark and working some great deals with himv. He was so brilliant and Fr for rcared about everyone no matter who you were. Even to this day I tell stories of him to new brokers who I mentor in commercial real estate try h. I will never forget you us running across Connecticut Avenue whether it was to go to visit with the National Education Association in Washington DC or run over to International Science and Technology to meet with them. It was a great time in my life to be a Tenant Rep with Mark at my side. He had my back and I had his back. He will remain forever in my heart. God bless you Markr

Mark has been part of my life since we met at UB in 1974. He has always been a cheerleader for what I was doing in my life. I will truly miss our annual chats. I miss you, my friend. Susan.

My sincere and deepest condolences go out to Mark's family and other loved ones (who are many).
Mark, one of the last things you said to me "too many Marks" (in my life) now I have too few. I wish so much I could have made it to Thanksgiving last year, it was so kind of you to invite me. I didn't make it to Thanksgiving for you, you didn't make it to Pope for me (LOL). You had such a wit about you, sometimes I had to really think if you were joking or serious, then I'd see that little grin sneak out.
I'll truly miss you, you became a very caring friend in the not long enough time I got to you know. When you hear the phone ringing, you'll know it's me getting your attention. Why?
Take care, see ya!

Mark and I met while I was a student at UB and he was a recent graduate who co-owned the bar across the street from campus. It was on my walk home so I would occasionally stop in during the day to say hi and chat with him while he worked behind the bar. Next thing you know he had me completing my senior year marketing internship there, which has impacted my career through today, followed by reconnecting in Arlington - and having him as my "down the street" landlord while I attended grad school at GW. Through Mark and that house I met and have maintained friendships that have continued for 40 years - including his. I would not have met my wife had it not been for Mark. I am grateful that we were able to speak frequently during his illness, including just a few days ago. He was always aware of the seriousness of his situation, yet unable to not crack a joke or discuss yet another business opportunity. He was going to be "Mark" as long as he was able to be so, including insisting on helping others in anyway he could.
Thank you, Mark. For everything.

Mark´s legacy lives within all of us: learn, learn and learn. I enjoyed all our conversations and your children are testaments to what you have done as a father and educator. You will be remembered. Attaching a picture of us enjoying some home cooked Chinese food at my home in Arlington. A light has gone out.

Mark was such an amazing human. He was a devoted father, a teacher, and businessman. While he was serious about making deals and buying businesses he never took himself too seriously. He was light-hearted and helped so many and he LOVED LOVED LOVED his children and was so proud of them. I had the privilege of working closely with Mark for over 5 years and he became a dear friend. My deepest condolences to Mark´s children and family, he was truly 1 in a million.

I will forever be grateful for Mark, who fell into a mentor role for me and never stopped checking in to share thoughts, guidance and support. Brilliant, kind and just incredibly interested in business and what drives people to do/create great things. Mark, thank you for everything. You will be missed!

Mark was a man who captured your attention, your amusement and most importantly, your respect from the very first moment you met him. Trying to express my admiration for this man goes beyond simple sentencing. I would have to write a tribute that mirrors "War and Peace" to put all my thoughts together. All that I can say about Mark now being in peace in heaven is that God has a great man now with Him. And I can sense God is intently listening. God Bless and Semper Fi from a Buffalo admirer.

Mark was a good friend and mentor. He helped me form many of my business principles in life. Later in our years he was also an investor in a company we had together. I will never forget our early years together at his bar in Buffalo with Jeff and the other cast of people that loved Mark. He was truly a lifelong friend. You will be missed.

He was a great friend and a better human being. He made the world a better place. I will miss his visits to Buffalo and our mandatory stops at Anderson´s for roast beef and custard. Jon Zucarelli
