Mary Auth Obituary

Mary Carmel Herbert Auth, 100, transitioned peacefully to eternal life on Thursday, June 19, 2025. A long time resident of Arlington County, she was pre deceased by her Husband, Bernard B. Auth and daughters Bernardette Comstock and Carmel Smith Wheeler. She is survived by ten children: Mary Verlinda Pototschnik (Otto); Stephen Auth (Norma); Katherine Auth Bingler; Gregory Auth (Lisa); Laurie Auth (Michael); Kevin Auth (Teresa); Terrell Auth; Rosemary Auth (Rudy); Kristina Auth Paltell (Eric) and Dolores Slick Jackson (Roc); 32 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery will be scheduled at a future date.

"Mom" was so special to so many of us over the years! I can still hear her great laugh-she was with it befor we knew what with it was! Sharp to the end after 100 years in the rear view mirror. Her legacy will live on in her (vast) family of beautiful acomplished sons,daughters and their sons and daughters.
What a great gift to the world!
