MATTHEW R. SZYMCZAK
Matthew R. Szymczak, a resident of North Beach, MD, died of natural causes on January 18, 2021 at the age of 60. Matt is survived by his wife, Kelly; his daughters Sonni, Hailey, and Michelle; and his sisters Barbara and Christine. Matt was born in South Bend, Indiana on September 23, 1960 to Stanley and Natalie Szymczak. He attended Indiana University, where he was a pitcher on the Hoosiers baseball team. On April 6, 1986, he married his soulmate and was blessed with three daughters who were the center of his world. Matt worked in banking in Chevy Chase, MD for over 30 years and retired to become an avid investor. Matt was a devoted father and unofficial swim and life coach, always eager to give his advice. He had a passion for music and was a self taught guitarist and songwriter. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. A private family funeral service will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in North Beach, MD on January 25, 2021. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date for friends and family.

I’m so sad to hear of Matt’s passing. He was my first manager when I started with CCB in 1999. I hadn’t seen or talk to him in years but he had definitely been in my mind recently. My deepest condolences to his wife, daughters and the rest of his family.
